How might customers find GoodReads useful?
Monitoring what they have read (of course they can do that with librarything and My Library also), reminders of what they want to read, access to wide range of books through search engines other than the GoodReads data base. Contact with authors and a place to share your own writing.
What would library staff get out of this site? social networking in an area of interest and beyond their immediate colleagues
Would you promote GoodReads to customers? Yes, I will when appropriate
Why? I think the site was very easy to use.
There are a lot of sites that are similar and the only issue is belonging to too many - How does someone keep up?
